The sequel to Studio 4°C's anime film Poupelle of Chimney Town will be released in a few months. Find a new trailer and release date below.
The Promised Clock Tower (Entotsu-cho no Poupelle -Yakusoku no Tokeidai-) is the sequel to Poupelle of Chimney Town [news], orig. Entotsu-cho no Poupelle, based on the illustrated book Tick-Tock -Yakusoku no Tokeidai- by Akihiro Nishino, hit Japanese theaters in December 2020.
Poupelle di Chimney Town tells the story of young Lubicchi living among the thick smoke from the chimneys of his isolated town. Lubicchi yearns to see the stars and blue sky his father always told him about, and one fateful Halloween night he meets Poupelle, made of rubbish and scraps stuck to a wayward heart.
Yusuke Hirota returns to direct at Studio 4°C, while author Akihiro Nishino is supervising production and writing the script. The film's closing theme song is "Entotsu-chō no Poupelle" performed by Lozareena.
