The popular streaming platform presents three new anime productions expected in the coming months. Info, release dates and promos below.
We begin with The Ribbon Hero, inspired by the 1958 manga Princess Knight (orig. Ribbon no Kishi) by the brilliant Osamu Tezuka, the new adaptation is titled The Ribbon Hero.
Sapphire is the princess of a kingdom that no longer exists. Having lost everything in her homeland of Silverland to the calamity known as “Nergal,” she wanders in despair until she finally arrives in Goldland.
Though burdened by her past, she begins to find a glimmer of hope as she encounters the kindness of the people there. But as if to sneer at her peaceful new life, the calamity Nergal appears once more. The very despair that once reduced her homeland to ashes now threatens to steal the light from this land as well.
This is the story of a lone hero who ties her ribbon and resolves to defy her fate.
The anime is directed by Yuuki Igarashi (Star Wars: Visions "Lop & Ocho"), making his feature film debut, with the animation produced at his new studio Outline. Kei Mochizuki designs the characters with the cooperation of Mai Yoneyama, Issei Arakaki adapts the drawings for the animation, Cédric Hérole is in charge of the art direction, and Satoru Kosaki and Ryuichi Takada are composing the music.

Fool Night is the highly anticipated anime adaptation of the worldwide hit manga of the same title, the first collaboration between Sunrise and Shaft.
"Living... there isn’t a single thing fun about it."
In a dark world full of despair, he chooses the path of transforming into a Spirit Flower - a plant into which humans transform. Should he continue living as a person, or discard his pain and start a new life as a plant? Which path would you choose in his situation?
Directed by Atsuyuki Yukawa, the series features Jin Tanaka, character designs by Robert Sato, background direction by Maki Takano (J.C. Staff), and music by Tatsuya Kato.
The anime will be available for streaming worldwide starting later this year, exclusively on Netflix. Here's the promo:
In Sakamoto Days Season 2, the hunt for Slur's database takes Sakamoto and Shin to the most prestigious assassin training institute.
The legendary assassin, now a convenience store owner, is back as you've never seen him before!
