Shozen is the anime adaptation of the Chinese manhua Shang Shan by Jiang Jia Meizi, currently being published in China by bilibili Manga.
The story follows a Taoist priest Dozen who encounters a young girl raised by supernatural creatures during his travels. He names the girl Shozen, adopting her as his disciple, as he teaches her about human emotion and love.
The anime series is produced by Dangan Pictures, with scripts adapted by Cannon Code, direction by Itsuro Kawasaki (True Cooking Master Boy), chief animator and character designer Eri Osada (Ensemble Stars!, The World's Finest Assassin), and music by Takuro Iga (Magical Girl Raising Project, Oshi no Ko).
Expected on Fuji TV's B8station block and other associated channels from April 2027, here is the first promo:
