Just a few days before the anime Liar Game begins broadcasting, the producers have released a new trailer. You can find it below.
The Liar Game manga by Shinobu Kaitani ran from 2005 to 2015 in Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine and inspired two live-action films, two live-action TV series, and two live-action web series.
When Nao Kanzaki receives a strange letter and a suitcase containing 100 million yen, she learns that she has been selected to participate in the LIAR GAME. In this high-stakes psychological battle, lies, deception, and betrayal reign supreme. Naïve and honest, Nao turns to Shinichi Akiyama, a brilliant former con artist, to survive the twisted game. In a game built on lies, can honesty prevail?
The anime is produced by the prestigious studios Madhouse with Yuzo Sato (Kaiji -Ultimate Survivor-) as chief director and Asami Kawano as episode director. Tatsuhiko Urahata (Baki, Baki Hanma) wrote the script, Kei Tsuchiya was the character designer, and Yugo Kanno composed the music.
The streaming platform Crunchyroll will premiere it next month, with a first two episodes premiere at Sakura-Con in Seattle, USA, on April 5th.
