The anime film Cosmic Princess Kaguya! is just a few weeks away from arriving on the popular streaming platform. Below, we offer you a new trailer with English dub.
Animator Shingo Yamashita has directed the opening sequences for popular anime series such as Chainsaw Man, Space Urusei Yatsura, and the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen. Cosmic Princess Kaguya! (orig. Cho Kaguya-hime!) is his feature film directorial debut.
Inspired by the ancient Japanese tale of the "shining princess", the film tells the story of two girls who bond through music. In the virtual, dreamlike world of Tsukuyomi, their destined moment takes center stage in a stunning visual spectacle.
The theme song and other songs that bring the story to life are produced by a group of renowned Vocaloid producers, including ryo (supercell), who revolutionized the music world with the hit "Melt" performed by Hatsune Miku, as well as kz (livetune), 40mP, HoneyWorks, Aqu3ra, and yuigot.
This film is the first title from Yamashita's Studio Chromato, which he produced alongside Studio Colorido (Penguin Highway, A Whisker Away).
Available on Netflix from January 22, here is the new trailer with English dub:
