The new anime Gals Can't Be Kind to Otaku!? already outlines the stories it will cover from the title alone. Expected in a few months, you'll find info and promo below.
The manga Otaku ni Yasashii Gal Wa Inai!? (Girls Can't Be Nice to Otaku!?) by author Norishiro-chan and illustrator Sakana Uozumi has been published in the Monthly Comic Zenon magazine since 2021 and is still ongoing.

In the story we meet Takuya Seo, an otaku who sits behind the popular gals in class, Ijichi and Amane. Since they're people from different “castes,” you wouldn't expect them to have much in common. But when their worlds collide over a borrowed eraser, Takuya slips up about his favorite anime, and Amane...is rather quick to correct him. She says she's not a fan, but her familiarity with the series suggests otherwise. Could she be...a fellow geek?!

The series is directed by Shin Mita at TMS Entertainment's Number 6 Studio. Kazuhiko Inukai (Hokuto no Ken -Fist of the North Star--, Bakugan Battle Planet) is in charge of the scripts, Rion Matsuda (Girlfriend, Girlfriend) is the character designer and chief animator, and Wataru Sato is composing the music.

The series' opening and ending themes have also been revealed: South Korean group i-dle perform the opening theme "Hide and Seek" and Osaka rock band Sun Soo Girl perform the ending theme "Isho Nakako."

Expected from April 8 on the IMAnimation W block of the TV Asahi network and its affiliates in Japan, it will be available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
