After unsuccessfully trying to appeal, before his arraignment, a lawyer shows up and offers him release in exchange for doing some work for his client. It turns out that the client is his late mother's half-sister, and her order is to become the keeper of the camphor tree at Tsukigo Shrine. Reito thus becomes the keeper of the camphor tree and meets several people who visit the shrine for various reasons.The film is directed by Tomohiko Ito (Sword Art Online, ERASED), written by Taku Kishimoto (Haikyu!!, 91 Days, Sakamoto Days), and designed by Blue Period manga creator Tsubasa Yamaguchi, along with Akiko Itagaki.
