The amazing Chinese film Deep Sea ready to land in Europe and beyond. We have been following for some years the production of this interesting CGI animated feature film produced entirely in China and with the opening to European and international markets. After its release in Chinese theaters at the end of January (for the Chinese New Year celebrations) where it grossed more than 130 million dollars, the fantasy genre film Deep Sea (original Shen Hai ) goes beyond national borders. The film is directed by Tian Xiaopeng (Monkey King: Hero Is Back) and produced by October Media and Coloroom Pictures. The story talks about Shenxiu, a young girl who has felt a deep sadness since being abandoned by her mother. While on a family cruise, she falls overboard and finds her way to the Deep Sea restaurant, where she meets chef Nanhe and embarks on a journey drifting between dreams and reality. The film seeks to push the limits of CGI animation even further to create a colorful world filled with fluid elements, with techniques that draw directly from the tradition of Chinese painting.Arrived at the Berlinale a few months ago, it was put on sale for international markets and already purchased for Germany, Italy, France, Turkey and the U.A.E., other Asian countries. We don't have any release dates yet (presumed within the year), but in the meantime, let's enjoy this trailer:[ Fra - source AnimationMagazine ].
