An interesting documentary produced in France is dedicated to the brilliant and acclaimed Japanese artist Satoshi Kon, of which we show you the first trailer.
The legendary Satoshi Kon is finally celebrated in a documentary made by French filmmaker Pascal-Alex Vincent with the original title Satoshi Kon: the machine ŗ rÍves.

Author of numerous manga, a TV series and four animated feature films, Satoshi Kon (1963-2010) has left an indelible mark on the Japanese animation industry, and his works are celebrated throughout the world. From thriller to romantic to comedy to science fiction, Kon has mastered numerous stories by skilfully painting a fascinating 21st century portrait.

From Paranoia Agent, to Perfect Blue, to Millennium Actress, to Tokyo Godfathers to the latest completed production Paprika.

The project he was working on when he passed away is also not forgotten, The Dreaming Machine to which the documentary is dedicated, and of which some clips will be shown in this production.

A documentary that features interviews and anecdotes of his closest collaborators and colleagues such as Mamoru Oshii (Ghost in the Shell) and Mamoru Hosoda (Mirai) but also filmmakers influenced by the works of Kon from Paris in Hollywood.
