Just a few months away from Nintendo's long-awaited debut in the motion picture industry with their first production, The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Today we offer you a clip starring Mario and Donkey Kong.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic (Teen Titans Go!, Teen Titans Go! To the Movies) from a screenplay by Matthew Fogel (The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part, Minions: The Rise of Gru). The film is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Christopher Meledandri and by Shigeru Miyamoto for Nintendo.
The film, by now it is clear, will pay homage to all the video games that over the decades have seen the plumber with an Italian name as the protagonist, and this is also confirmed by the new clip in which he competes against the muscular gorilla in an environment that refers to the series Super Smash Bros..
