Connected is the new Sony animated film

Read...
The very first images and information of the new Sony Pictures Animation animated film were released yesterday, which sees two excellent names among the producers and an original story.
The title is Connected, directed by Mike Rianda (one of the authors of the series Gravity Falls) and co-directed by Jeff Rowe (one of the authors of Disenchantment), with the original story written by both directors and the production of the duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller, a duo with a list that includes some of the best animation titles of the last few years such as Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Lego Batman Movie, Smallfoot and many others.

The story begins with a classic family trip that will face a big crisis. Nowadays, each of us cannot do without technology, between computers, smartphones and more. But what if technology turns against humanity? What if every electric device acquired a conscience and, together, they thought of exterminating humanity?

An adventure comedy from the point of view of a classic family with two very young children very comfortable with technology, which is inspired by the family of director Rianda who admits "I wanted to try to mix my crazy family with a robot apocalypse".

The first actors called to voice the main characters are Eric André, Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Abbi Jacobson and the director himself.

Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, the quality of the animations will be influenced by the innovative techniques created for the blockbuster and awards-winner Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse .

Expected in theaters in US on September 18, 2020, here below the first illustrations:
