To Your Island is the new Chinese animated romantic comedy

The trailer for the animated feature film To Your Island, a Chinese production coming out in theaters in a month, has been released. Info and promo below.

To Your Island (orig. Qu Ni De Dao) is a donghua (the equivalent of the Japanese "anime" for Chinese animation) directed by Zhou Haoran and written by Mei Qiongyu and Fan Dawang, inspired by Dawang's popular web novel. It is produced by Beijing Enlight Pictures.

Gloria (the protagonist) is guided by a mysterious paper crane to a mysterious island created from memories, where she meets her ex-boyfriend, Yin Xian, who has since lost his memory and been transformed into a rabbit. Together, the two embark on a dreamlike adventure through the chambers of their past memories to overcome their traumas and uncover the truth behind the spell.

The film will be released in Chinese theaters on August 19, coinciding with the traditional festival of Qixi (Chinese Valentine's Day).
