A new historical animated feature film produced in China is titled Three Kingdoms: The Beginning and has a promo and first information. Find out more below.
The feature film is being produced by Chinese studios Light Chaser Animation (White Snake, Green Snake, New Gods: Nezha Reborn), experts in CGI animation, which will adapt the book "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", a 14th-century text written by Luo Guanzhong considered one of the four great classic novels of Chinese literature, of which film adaptations have already been made.
Based on historical events from the final years of the Han Dynasty (169-280 AD), the novel illustrates the transition from the Three Kingdoms to the reunification of the country. A literary work of 120 chapters with nearly a thousand characters.
The Chinese studios' plan is a trilogy, with the first film, Three Kingdoms: The Beginning, set for release in Chinese theaters on July 10.
