Evangelion's 30th anniversary - A new anime series in production

Fans around the world can rejoice at the announcement made at the event celebrating 30 years of Evangelion: the stories of the Evas and their pilots continue with a new anime.
At the Evangelion:30+ event, the franchise's new phase, "Next Genesis," was announced. The new project will be directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki (Evangelion Rebuild, Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX) and Toko Yatabe, with screenwriter and video game author Yoko Taro serving as scriptwriter. Composer Keiichi Okabe is also among the first names announced for the team.

A highly respected team for a highly anticipated project that will be developed by studios Khara and CloverWorks.

During the event, the short film made especially for the anniversary was also screened, a short film we talked about in this news, written and supervised by Hideaki Anno, creator of the series, and directed by Naoyuki Asano.
