The first animated series produced by Skydance Animation is the adaptation of the New York Times bestselling series of fantasy novels. Below are the first images and information.
The Search for WondLa book series by Tony DiTerlizzi inspired the first animated serial production by the American Skydance Animation and produced in Madrid, in the former Ilion Animation animation studios acquired in 2020.

WondLa centers on Eva, a curious, enthusiastic and spirited teenager being raised in a state-of-the-art underground bunker by Muthr, a robot caretaker. On her 16th birthday, an attack on Eva's bunker forces her onto the Earth's surface which is now inhabited by aliens, covered with other-worldly fauna, and no other humans to be found. In fact, it's no longer called Earth but Orbona. Otto, a loveable giant water bear with whom Eva shares telepathic powers and Rovender, a cantankerous alien with a troubled past, join Eva as she leads the team on a dangerous quest to find humans, her home, and her true destiny.

The series features author DiTerlizzi as executive producer alongside veteran animator Bobs Gannaway, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, Jeremy Bell, Julie Kane-Ritsch, Skydance Animation's head of animation John Lasseter, David Ellison and Dana Goldberg, while the producer of the series is Tony Cosanella.

The first season of the trilogy consisting of seven episodes will be released on the AppleTV+ platform worldwide on June 28.
