Several times anticipated on our pages, the Oscar-winning director and producer Guillermo Del Toro has been working for some time on his version of Pinocchio of which we finally have the very first images.
The Mexican filmmaker transforms the classic italian tale of Carlo Collodi, Pinocchio, into a musical adventure with stop motion animations. Written and directed by Del Toro himself, with veteran Mark Gustafson co-director and the screenplay adapted by Gris Grimly, Patrick McHale and Matthew Robbins.

The film features an all-star voice cast with Ewan McGregor as Cricket, David Bradley as Geppetto, and introducing Gregory Mann as Pinocchio. Other cast includes Finn Wolfhard, Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett, John Turturro, Ron Perlman, Tim Blake Nelson, Burn Gorman, with Academy Award winner Christoph Waltz and Academy Award winner Tilda Swinton.

Follow the mischievous adventures of Pinocchio in his pursuit of a place in the world, brought to life by the California studios Jim Henson's Creature Shop and the British Mackinnon & Saunders, will arrive on Netflix in December 2022.
