We presented the first images of this new project last year [news]. Today we show you the trailer for Riverdance: The Animated Adventure.
More than five years after the start of production we can finally set our sights on the trailer for Riverdance: The Animated Adventure, with its dancing deer, wiggling fish and laughing frogs.

Inspired by the popular theatrical production Riverdance, the film, made in CG animations, takes us into a family adventure story built around the soundtrack of Bill Whelan and its roots in Irish folk music.

"A young Irish boy named Keegan and Spanish girl named Moya journey into a magical world of the Megaloceros Giganteus who teach them to appreciate Riverdance as a celebration of life."

A story written by Dave Rosenbaum and Tyler Werrin and directed by Eamonn Butler (digital effects specialist making his directorial debut) and by Dave Rosenbaum (former producer DreamWorks and Illumination), with the production of London base Aniventure together and River Productions and animations by Cinesite at his studios in Montreal, Canada.

The film will be released in the UK and Ireland tomorrow, May 28.
