A-1 Pictures has announced the production of an anime adaptation of the Bless manga. Find the details and a first promo below.
Yukino Sonoyama debuted with the Bless manga in 2022 in Kodansha's magazine "Shonen Magazine Edge" and is still ongoing, with over 1.2 million copies in circulation.
The main characters are Aia, destined to be a model, and Jun was bullied for her freckles. Together, they will take back the power to define themselves in an inspirational fashion manga that asks cutting questions about what it really means to be beautiful-and what it takes to overcome an arbitrary system that seems to respect talent over hard work.
The television anime is produced by A-1 Pictures, directed by Shotaro Kitamura, with Takayuki Kikuchi as his assistant. Fukurou Kamiza is in charge of writing and supervising, and Honoka Yokoyama is both the character designer and chief animator. Tetsuya Kawakami and Reina Iwasaki are also chief animators. Ryo Yoshimata is the music composer.
