First images for Pixar's Luca - new film directed by Enrico Casarosa

The next film produced by Pixar studios will have Italy in its heart, not only in the story, but also in its director. Below the first images.

The film will be directed by Enrico Casarosa, storyboard artist and director of the short film "La Luna" nominated for the Oscar, with the story written by Jesse Andrews and Mike Jones and produced by Andrea Warren.

The film will tell us the story of the maturity of a boy who lives an unforgettable summer full of ice cream, pasta and endless scooter rides on the Riviera. Luca shares these adventures with his new best friend, but all the fun is threatened by a deeply rooted secret: a sea monster from another world just below the surface of the water.

Expected in June 2021 in the USA, here are the first images and a very first teaser shown at the latest Disney investor conference:
