First animations for Illumination's Not Alone feature

The feature film Not Alone, the next original work from Illumination studios, will arrive in theaters around the world only next spring, of which we see the first teaser trailer.

When Joe and Fran are brought together to prepare for the inaugural launch of this revolutionary rocket, there are immediate sparks, but neither is particularly adept at romance. Life becomes more complicated when three aliens—tiny, unruly and adorable-take refuge in Joe’s home. Dunk, Welly and Shirm are on the interplanetary run from a zealous-yet-inept officer of the law named Zandro. The aliens determine that Fran’s rocket could provide their means of getting back home to safety.

The new film Illumination stars the actor Timothée Chalamet, who will voice Joe, an introverted rocket mechanic living a quiet life of solitude, and actress/singer Selena Gomez, who will play Fran, a brilliant astrobotanist developing the world's first plant-powered rocket.

Directed by veteran Eric Guillon, co-directed by Claire Dogson and Jonathan Del Val, the film Not Alone is produced by Illumination founder and CEO Christopher Meledandri.

Expected in theaters nationwide in April 2027, here's a first teaser trailer:
