Animusic Weekend: Contact

Animusic, our appointment with music and animations, today takes us virtually to France for a new videoclip by Daft Punk titled Contact.

Yes, a new video, but no, Daft Punk are not backtracking after their 2021 breakup and are not producing any new songs. However, a song, the 13th and final track, titled Contact, was released from their fourth and final album, "Random Access Memories," released in 2013, and has received an animated music video.

The music video was created to introduce "The Daft Punk Experience," launched last September for the video game Fortnite. A journey through space featuring references to the careers of the two French musicians, as well as a character from Leiji Matsumoto, whose collaboration dates back to the 2003 feature film Interstella 5555.
