The anime Ganbatte Ikimasshoi, which tells the story of the girls' boating club, will arrive in Japanese theaters in autumn. Below promo video and visual.
Inspired by the novel of the same name by Yoshiko Shikimura, the title is roughly translated into "let's go and give it our best", a phrase used to encourage the team of athletes from the boating club of high school in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture.

Yuhei Sakuragi (The Relative Worlds, Ingress) directs the film and writes the screenplay alongside Keiichirō Ochi (Aikatsu!, The Quintessential Quintuplets), while Asako Nishida (Love Live!, Land of the Lustrous) designs the characters. The animations are produced by the Moe and REIRS studios, while the city of Matsuyama collaborates in the production.

The novel received the "Bocchan Literary Prize" in 1995, a live-action film adaptation in 1998, and a live-action series in 2005.

The first anime film will arrive in Japanese theaters on October 25.
