Read...
The new anime series produced by Wit Studio will arrive in more than a year, but we can see at least the first images below.
Moonrise is the title of the project unveiled last Sunday at the Netflix Tudum Japan event, the work of the author Tow Ubukata (Mardock Scramble creator, Ghost in the Shell Arise, Heroic Age, Fafner writer), who in 2018 released a prologue novel entitled Moonrise for free on Amazon.

Set on both Earth and the Moon, Moonrise stars two men, Jack and Al, as they face various difficulties in the vast world of space.

The studios announce that all the action and scenery in the unexplored parts of the Moon will be illustrated using an innovative type of animation never seen before.

Masashi Koizuka (Attack on Titan seasons 2 and 3) directs the series, while drawing the characters is Hiromu Arakawa (Fullmetal Alchemist), and Ayumi Yamada (Attack on Titan) adapts them for animations. Ryo Kawasaki (Yu-Gi-Oh! Sevens, Fate/Grand Order Absolute Demonic Front: Babylonia) will compose the music.

Expected in 2024, here is a teaser video and posters:
