The new Netflix animated films Guglielmo del Toro's Pinocchio, Wendell & Wild, My Father's Dragon and Scrooge: A Christmas Carol will arrive on the streaming platform (and in selected theaters) have a release date.
Announced in recent months, some of the most anticipated animated titles finally have a release date.

Wendell & Wild is the new film from Henry Selick and Jordan Peele, an animated story about the demon brothers Wendell and Wild, asking for help by Kat Elliot, a tough teenager with a load of guilt, to summon them to the Land of the Living. But what Kat asks in return leads to a brilliantly bizarre and comical adventure like no other, an animated fantasy that defies the law of life and death, all told through the artisan art of stop-motion.

Written by Selick and Peel, the film is directed and produced by Selick.

Wendell & Wild will be released in selected theaters on October 21st and streamed on Netflix from October 28.

My Father's Dragon tells the story of Elmer, who struggles to cope with a move to the city with his mother, escapes in search of Wild Island and a young dragon waiting to be saved. Elmer's adventures introduce him to ferocious beasts, a mysterious island and the friendship of a lifetime.

Inspired by the children's book by author Ruth Stiles Gannett, the film is directed by Academy Award-nominated director Nora Twomey (The Breadwinner) and written by Meg LeFauve, with Bonnie Curtis, Julie Lynn and Paul Young as producers.

My Father's Dragon is produced by the Academy Award-nominated animation studio Cartoon Saloon (The Secret of Kells, Song of the Sea, Wolfwalkers) and will be available on Netflix on November.

Scrooge: A Christmas Carol - Timeless Films, in association with Axis Studios, and director Stephen Donnelly adapt the Charles Dickens's ageless Christmas story in the upcoming CG animated film, told as a supernatural time-traveling musical. With his very soul at stake, Scrooge only has one Christmas Eve to face his past and build a better future.

Ralph Kamp, Academy Award winner Leslie Bricusse OBE and Andrew Pearce are the producers. Music and lyrics are by Bricusse, with songs arranged, produced and set to music by Jeremy Holland-Smith.

Expected in selected theaters from November 18th, it will be available on Netflix from December 2nd.

Guglielmo del Toro's Pinocchio - The famous director reinvents the classic tale by Carlo Collodi of the wooden puppet that is magically animated to mend the heart of a mourning carver named Geppetto. This quirky stop-motion musical follows Pinocchio's mischievous and disobedient adventures in his search for a place in the world.

The dark fantasy tale Pinocchio will take place in the fascist Italy of Benito Mussolini in the 1930s.

For this adaptation, del Toro shares directing duties with Mark Gustafson, while the writing is the work of del Toro and Patrick McHale, with producers of del Toro, Lisa Henson (Jim Henson Company), Alex Bulkley, Corey Campodonico ( ShadowMachine) and Gary Ungar.

The film will be available on Netflix from December 9.
