Super Bowl spot for Sonic the Hedgehog 2

The Paramount Pictures studios are launched into the group of commercials of the well-known American sporting event showing a new spot of the awaited Sonic 2.
The new trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is titled "Big Game Spot," which features Sonic and Knuckles as they battle it out for control of a mighty emerald.
Knuckles, voiced by Idris Elba, is the final obstacle to Sonic (Ben Schwartz) and his partner Tails (Colleen O'Shaughnessey), together against of the evil Dr. Robotnik (Jim Carrey), who tries hard to overthrow civilization. In this new cutscene, Sonic and Knuckles clash in some intense action moments, based on the reveal of Robotnik's rocket launcher mech suit. We also get glimpses of Sonic snowboarding on icy slopes and riding Tails' red and white biplane, a fan favorite piece of the Sonic video game franchise's iconography.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 is directed by Jeff Fowler, from a screenplay by Pat Casey, Josh Miller and John Whittington. The live-action actors of the film, besides Jim Carrey, are James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, Natasha Rothwell, Adam Pally and Lee Majdoub, as well as the new arrivals Shemar Moore, Elba and O'Shaughnessey.
Ged Wright is the supervisor of the visual effects that are produced at DNEG, Marza Animation Planet and MPC Film studios.
Produced by Paramount Pictures in association with SEGA Sammy Group, Marza Animation Planet and Blur Studio, the film will hit US theaters on April 8, 2022.
