Tokyo Anime Film Festival awards announced

The awards for the best anime of the year have been announced according to the Tokyo Anime Film Festival, which includes titles released between October 2019 and September 2020.

To triumph among the Tokyo Anime Award Festival (TAAF) for best anime film is: Violet Evergarden: The Movie (Gekijouban Violet Evergarden), by Kyoto Animation studios.

Award as Best Series: Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! (Eizouken ni wa Te o Dasu na) [news] from Science SARU studios.

The individual awards:

- Best Original Subject/Screenplay: Reiko Yoshida (Violet Evergarden: The Movie)

- Best Director: Haruo Sotozaki (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

- Best Animator: Akira Matsushima (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba)

- Best Backgrounds/Coloring/Video: Mikiko Watanabe (Violet Evergarden: The Movie) - Posthumous Award

- Best Sound Effects/Performance: Yuki Kajiura (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba
