Toei Animation and Netflix are ready to bring the legendary Knights of the Zodiac on the small screens of all subscribers to the streaming service with sparkling new armor.
Ispired to manga by Masami Kurumada, the series is a remake of a classic of the 80s but animated in CGI, directed by Yoshiharu Ashino, with the character design by Terumi Nishii (Saint Seiya The Lost Canvas) and the armours design by Takashi Okazaki (Afro Samurai).
"In ancient times, a group of young men devoted their lives to protecting Athena, the Goddess of Wisdom and War.
Now, in present day, a young orphan Seiya and a new generation of Saints is about to come forth to aid Athena in battle against those who seek to end mankind."
The 12 episodes first season of Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac arrives July 19 on Netflix.
