The popular Blizzard team-based multiplayer videogame Overwatch, so close to the world of animation, celebrate its second anniversary with a stop-motion video.
Instead of using high-quality computer graphics, to celebrate the event Blizzard choose one of the oldest and most artisanal animation techniques: stop-motion.

The video is commissioned to one of the company's in-house animators, Justin Rasch, and his wife Shel. Justin is currently a cg animator, but he has plenty of experience in stop motion, having previously worked as an animator at Laika (Kubo and the Two Strings, Paranorman) as well as tv productions like Robot Chicken.

The video show a funny moment with two of the videogame main character: Tracer and Reaper. The real action-figures come back to life when its owner leave the house.

Here the original video and, below, the making-of that show us how Justin and his wife has created the characters and the scenes entirely in their house with the only help of some of their friends:
