Animusic, our appointment with music and animation of the weekend, today takes us to Japan to listen to the saxophonist Tomoaki Baba with the song Prime.

Tomoaki Baba is a Japanese jazz saxophonist, composer, and arranger born in Sapporo in 1992. Active since the age of seven with several scholarships, he attended Berklee College of Music and then moved to New York where he performed with leading jazz artists. He is best known for his saxophone parts in the 2023 anime film Blue Giant.

From the new album "Electric Rider," the music video for the song Prime was produced by Spoon and directed by Hoji Tsuchiya.
