Tomorrow a new and special episode of the animated series The Simpsons will be available in North America on the Disney streaming platform. Below we show you a promo.
With the opening, the legendary "couch gag", created in collaboration with the art installation company Meow Wolf, the new episode, which marks the beginning of the second part of season 37, is titled "Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition" (double episode no. 806 and 807).
"Getting the opportunity to be part of the show that has warped our minds since we were kids is a huge honor and an experience we will never forget", said Emily Montoya, Co-Founder of Meow Wolf. "Working with Matt Selman (showrunner and executive producer of The Simpsons) and his team was fantastic. From the beginning, they supported and encouraged all our crazy ideas and helped us hone the piece into its final form. We're especially grateful for their help encapsulating Matt King’s rainbow wizard essence into cameo form".
Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition is the first of three Disney+ exclusive episodes of The Simpsons rolling out this summer. In the double-episode, Homer and Marge’s fun couples’ date night goes off the rails when Marge learns Homer left the kids unsupervised with only the doorbell camera as a babysitter. Frustrated with her imperfect husband, a tipsy Marge stirs up a trilogy of fantasies of a different Homer.
The double episode will be available in North America starting tomorrow June 17. Here's the promo:
