First animations for Laika's Wildwood

The first teaser trailer for the new and highly anticipated feature film Laika, Wildwood, was released a few minutes ago. Find all the info and the video below.

From the creators of Coraline, Wildwood is a sweeping, darkly magical adventure: it's the story of a young girl who enters a dangerous secret forest to save her brother: an odyssey shaped by love, power, and the courage to face the unknown.

Directed by Travis Knight, Wildwood is based on the bestselling novel by Colin Meloy and illustrated by Carson Ellis.

The film by Laika Entertainment, which began production more than 10 years ago [featurette], is made with stop-motion animation and digital special effects handled by major studios such as Base FX, CraveFX, Industrial Light & Magic, Mist VFX Studio, Moving Picture Company, Virtuos-Sparx and Yannix.
