It was just announced that the indie animated series Hazbin Hotel has been renewed for season five, which will also be its final season.
Created by animator Vivienne Medrano, aka Vivziepop, born in 1992, the series stars Charlie, the princess of Hell who, faced with the overpopulation of demons and villains in this land, has the brilliant idea of opening a hotel to rehabilitate them and turn them good, thus making them leave this earth.

The pilot episode, produced through a crowdfunding campaign and released for free on YouTube, has garnered over 32 million views in just six months. This momentum has led A24 and Bento Box Entertainment (studios owned by FOX Entertainment) to produce a full season of 8 episodes for the Amazon Prime Video platform, released in 2024, followed by a second season released in October 2025.

Created using classic 2D animation from Medrano's studios SprindleHorse, Hazbin Hotel is a comedy/musical series aimed at adult audiences, with Medrano serving as executive producer and director of all episodes.

Immediately renewed for two more seasons, production has now also been confirmed for a fifth and final season that will conclude the stories of Charlie and the Hotel's guests.

"I知 so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I知 grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion" said the creator. "I知 so excited for fans to see how this story ends".

"From its inception, Hazbin Hotel has pushed the boundaries of adult animation through bold storytelling, vibrant artistry, and unapologetic heart," said Melissa Wolfe, Head of Animation at Amazon MGM Studios. "Vivienne Medrano and her team have built an extraordinary world that has captivated fans around the globe, and we池e thrilled to give the series, and its passionate community, a fitting, unforgettable final chapter."

In addition to the original series, the spin-off Helluva Boss has also been produced and available on Prime Video, which currently has two seasons of 8 and 12 episodes, and a third season of 15 episodes released in two phases this fall and in 2027.
