A few years behind the original schedule, the long-awaited animated Spider-Man feature film that will close the story of Miles Morales is confirmed for 2027.
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is the third and final installment in the adventures of Miles Morales, originally scheduled for release in 2024 but arriving in theaters only three years later.

The most profitable franchise owned by Sony Pictures is certainly that of the only Marvel superhero (currently) not owned by Disney studios. A franchise that has been exploited to the max with constant reboots and a leap into the multiverse with animated productions, including the stories of the Miles Morales character with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018 and continued with Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, whose story will conclude with Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, followed by some spin-offs already in production.

The second chapter left off with Miles Morales stranded on Earth-42, where his alter ego has become the Prowler, while two groups of Spider-Men from alternate worlds - a larger one wanting to stop Miles, and a smaller one made up of a few friends like Gwen Stacy, Spider-Punk, Peter B. Parker, and a few others ready to help him - appear.

With the first animations presented at CinemaCon, commentated by directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, and longtime producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller (who wrote the trilogy), the film is expected in June 2027.
