Like every year, at the end of January, the Academy presents the Oscar nominations. Following are the nominations for animated productions for 2026.

The nominees for Best Animated Feature Film are:

- Arco

- KPop Demon Hunters

- Amélie et la métaphysique des tubes (Little Amélie or the Character of Rain)
Produced by Maïlys Vallade, Liane-Cho Han, Nidia Santiago and Henri Magalon

- Zootopia 2
Produced by Jared Bush, Byron Howard and Yvett Merino

The nominees for Best Animated Short Film are:

- Butterfly by Florence Miailhe and Ron Dyens

- Forevergreen by Nathan Engelhardt and Jeremy Spears

- The Girl Who Cried Pearls by Chris Lavis and Maciek Szczerbowski

- Retirement Plan by John Kelly and Andrew Freedman

- the Three Sisters by Konstantin Bronzit

In the section Music (Original Song) we find:

- "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters
Music and lyric by EJAE, Mark Sonnenblick, Joong Gyu Kwak, Yu Han Lee, Hee Dong Nam, Jeong Hoon Seon and Teddy Park

The awards ceremony will take place on the night of March 15 in Los Angeles.
