It combines the two films (volumes 1 and 2 from 2003 and 2004, respectively) for a single viewing lasting over four hours, re-edited as the director intended, but later scaled down for distribution.Among the most notable new features is the new seven-minute animated sequence featuring the character of O-Ren Ishii, which expands on his story.Please note that the animations are by the renowned Japanese studio Production I.G, which also created the sequence in Volume 1.The film will be released in theaters on December 5.
