An interesting feature film titled Brave Cat is currently in production and the first animations have been released.
Brave Cat is the first animated feature film produced by Santiago based Punkrobot, studios that won an Oscar in 2016 for the short Bear Storyand authors of the episode In the Stars of Star Wars: Visions.

The new cg film with stop-motion style, which is currently in production, follows Kona, a teenage forest cat who decides to face her fears and search for her missing mother, who was kidnapped by the circus long ago. She is joined on her journey by Colin, an abandoned guard dog pup, and Bernard, a runaway old circus bear, who are also searching for their own families.

The film is directed by Gabriel Osorio (Bear Story), founder of the Chilean studios together with Antonia Herrera, Mari Soto-Aguilar and Pato Escala.

"While Bear Story told a story from the point of view of someone exiled, Brave Cat tells the story of someone searching for their missing loved one says director to Variety. A story inspired by contemporary events in Chile during the Pinochet dictatorship in which many Chileans were separated from their families and locked up in concentration camps.

Presented these days at Annecy in search of production partners, here is the first preview:
