The new anime produced by the well-known studios Madhouse is the adaptation of the award-winning Frieren: Beyond Journey's End which shows itself with a new and long promo video.
The manga by Kanehito Yamada and Tsukasa Abe (original Soso no Frieren) was published in 2020 and also awarded at Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize 2021 and listed in the top 10 best graphic novels for adults by The American Library Association's Graphic Novels & Comics Round Table.

Madhouse produces the anime version directed by Keiichiro Saito (Bocchi the Rock!), the story written by Tomohiro Suzuki , the characters designed by Reiko Nagasawa and the music composed by Evan Call.

Synopsis: The adventure is over but life goes on for an elf mage just beginning to learn what living is all about. Elf mage Frieren and her courageous fellow adventurers have defeated the Demon King and brought peace to the land. But Frieren will long outlive the rest of her former party. How will she come to understand what life means to the people around her? Decades after their victory, the funeral of one her friends confronts Frieren with her own near immortality. Frieren sets out to fulfill the last wishes of her comrades and finds herself beginning a new adventure...

The anime will hit small Japanese screens on NTV on September 29 with a two-hour special.
