For the 25th anniversary of the role-playing game series Atelier Ryza, a television anime has been announced this summer in Japan. Info and first trailer below.
Developed by Gust (brand owned by Koei Tecmo), the game Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout arrived in 2019 on consoles PS4 and Switch and also on PC. Two years later the sequel Atelier Ryza 2: Lost Legends & the Secret Fairy was released, and in a few weeks the third chapter Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key.

The anime Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Secret Hideout Animation (orig. Tokoyami no Joō to Himitsu no Kakurega Animation) is directed by Ema Yuzuriha at the studios LIDEN FILMS, with the author of the scripts of the video game, Yashichiro Takahashi and the author of the music Kazuki Yanagawa, also called to work for the anime, while the characters are designed by Tomoyuki Shitaya.

Reisalin "Ryza" Stout is a girl who lives on Kurken Island and is eager for adventures. One day she sneaks on the boat with her friends Lent and Tao and they make friends with Klaudia, a merchant's daughter. The four are ambushed by a monster and are saved by the alchemist Empel Vollmer and his bodyguard Lila Decyrus. Impressed by Empel's skills, the four convince the two to accept them as apprentices.
