As they specify in the video, they are "Front-end animation studios", they works on the development phases, the story, all the artistic conception and development and management, while for the animation production phase they rely on external studios, like the older brothers Sony Pictures Imageworks (who, by the way, are celebrating their 30th anniversary!).
