The new anime by Masaaki Yuasa, produced at Science Saru studios, due out in a few days at home, shows an unedited clip.
Based on the novel by Hideo Furukawa, Heike Monogatari: INU-OH no Maki (Tales of the Heike: Inu-Oh), the story takes place in the 14th century in Japan and stars Inu-Oh, born with unique physical characteristics that horrified adults cover with clothing, including a mask. on the face. One day he meets a girl named Tomona, a blind biwa player, and as Tomona plays a delicate song of intricate destiny, Inu-Oh discovers an incredible ability to dance.

Featuring animations produced at Science Saru (Japan Sinks 2020, Devilman Crybaby), the film is directed by Masaaki Yuasa; the concept of the design is by Taiyou Matsumoto (Amer Béton); the character design by Nobutake Ito, and among the animators who took part in the project are some legendaries including Atsuko Fukushima, Yasuhiro Nakura, Norio Matsumoto, Yoshimichi Kameda, Tokuyuki Matsutake and others.

Inu-Oh is expected in Japanese theaters on May 28, and around the world in the next months. Here an unedited clip:
