Netflix has released the first teaser of the new series from the Bastard!! manga. Below the video.
Bastard!! - Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy, is the new production that brings in animations the work of Kazushi Hagiwara published since 1988 on Weekly Shonen Jump.
The story is set in a world dominated by a chaos of swords and magic, four hundred years after the fall of modern civilization. Under the leadership of the almighty four kings, the Dark Rebel Army continues to expand its power as it attempts to control the world by resurrecting the god of destruction Anthrasax.
The kingdom of Meta-Likana is attacked by the wizard in command of the Army and to save it Tiara Nort Yoko, the daughter of the high priest, must decide whether to resurrect the ancient great wizard who once wanted to rule the world, but who is now imprisoned in the body of his childhood friend Rusie Renren. Only a virgin's kiss can undo the spell. The legendary wizard Dark Schneider, the most powerful, wild and fascinating character of all, returns to life!
After a first OAV series produced by Shueisha in 1992 consisting of six episodes, over thirty years later Liden Films is working on a reboot, an ONA series consisting of 24 episodes, directed by Takaharu Ozaki, scripted by Yosuke Kuroda, with character design by Sayaka Ono and music composed by Yasuharu Takanashi.
Expected on the well-known streaming platform around the world in 2022, here are the first animations:
