Fireheart - the second animated film from L'Atelier Animation

Read...
From the dream for the dance to the dream for the fire department is the new animated journey of the young Canadian animation studios.
Fireheart is the title of the new French-Canadian film, second produced at the Montreal based studios L'Atelier Animation after Ballerina in 2016 (released in the USA with the title Leap!).

Main character of the story is Georgia, young who dreams of becoming a firefighter like her father, but 1930s society has other ideas of what a woman should be. Her only option is to disguise herself as a man.

The original idea is from Laurent Zeitoun, author, producer and director of the feature film along with Ted Ty, Disney and DreamWorks Animation veteran who recently joined DNEG as global head of character animator. Producing the title together with Zeitoun are also Yann Zenou (both producers of Ballerina) and André Rouleau and Valérie d'Auteuil.

The film is produced by Les Films Seville, Anton, Main Journey, Caramel Films and M6 Films SND. Among the voice actors in the English version are Olivia Cooke, Kenneth Branagh and William Shatner.

Entertainment One is bringing the family feature to U.K. and Ireland theaters on February2022.
