Emojitown - a new animated web series in the world of emoji
A new animated series starring the emojis that populate smartphones and social networks all over the world presents itself with the first animations. Below info and videos.
Emojiton is a "digital-first" series, directed mainly to digital devices and an audience of teens and young adults, those who use emojis the most. Made with colorful two-dimensional animations, the project includes a season consisting of 52 episodes of 2 minutes each.
It is produced by GmbH, one of the worldwide owners of "emojis" together with WildBrain, a company specializing in entertainment for children and families.
It will be broadcast via social media channels and on a dedicated YouTube channel under the WildBrain Spark label by the end of May (with the first 4 episodes and new episodes every week).
Set in Emojitown, a place not unlike many other modern urban cities - except that the inhabitants have an emoji icon for their heads. In Emojitown, we see daily struggles and nightmares ranging from the mundane to the absurd: The perils of dating apps, the instant regret of a DIY haircut, the cringe of a poolside bikini fail and more.
