Aquatope of White Sand is the new P.A. Works anime series

The new anime arriving next summer in Japan is titled Aquatope of White Sand, the latest and most interesting effort from the P.A. Works.
The story takes place at the Gama Gama Aquarium, a small aquarium in Okinawa, an hour by bus from Naha where Kukuru Misakino works, an 18-year-old high school student who knows the "secret" of the aquarium: sometimes you can see mysterious things. One day Kukuru meets Fuuka, standing in front of a water tank with flowing hair and a tear running down her cheek. Fuuka gave up her dream of becoming an idol and fled Tokyo to Okinawa. In search of her place in the world, Fuuka asks to be allowed to work on the aquarium.

The original anime is directed by Toshiya Shinohara at P.A. Works, featuring character design by Yuki Akiyama, animation direction and general composition by Yuki Akiyama, and music by Yoshiaki Dewa.

The Aquatope of White Sand (Shiro Suna no Aquatope) series will debut in Japan in July 2021.
