Gege Akutami's Jujutsu Kaisen is the new anime by studio MAPPA

Read...
The new anime produced by the Japanese animation studio MAPPA is Jujutsu Kaisen and is taken from the homonymous manga published on the Weekly Shonen Jump from March 2018. Below the first promo.
The manga is a shonen action with influences in other genres too, written and designed by Gege Akutami, an author who managed to achieve international success at the first opportunity, overcoming the two million copies sold that have recently made the manga among the most recommended by Japanese comics.

The anime is directed by Sunghoo Park (The God of High School) at MAPPA animation studios, Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan: Lost Girls, Banana Fish, Vinland Saga) is writing the scripts, Tadashi Hiramatsu (His and Her Circumstances, Yuri!!! on Ice) is designing the characters and Hiroaki Tsutsumi, Yoshimasa Terui and Arisa Okehazama are composing the music.

The story features Yuji Itadori, a boy who for some strange reason prefers to attend the occult club at school instead of practicing athletics like his friends. However, he soon discovers that the occult is as real as its club members are attacked by strange creatures! Meanwhile, the shaman Megumi Fushiguro makes an appearance, in search of powerful cursed objects, one of which is kept right in the club frequented in Yuji.

The anime will be aired in the block "Super Animeism" of the broadcaster MBS, TBS and other affiliates in October 2020, with the very particular airing time: Friday 25.25 (1:25 on Saturday morning).
