Mononoke - The medicine seller returns with a new anime film

Initially scheduled to be released in 2023, the new anime film Mononoke will only arrive in Japanese theaters next summer, which brings the medicine seller from the TV series of the same name to the big screens.

After the 12-episode 2007 anime produced by Toei Animation, the film Gekijoban Mononoke: Karakasa (complete title) will arrive in Japanese theaters on July 26.

Spin-off of the anime Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales, the film is directed by the director of the anime Kenji Nakamura but produced in different studios, Twin Engine and EOTA.

Among the other artists on the staff we find Kitsuneko Nagata author of the character designs, Yūichi Takahashi director of the animations, Kenichi Shirai 3D director and Taku Iwasaki author of the music.
