First trailer for Netflix's animated comedy The Monkey King

The well-known Chinese legend lives again with a new animated feature produced by Netflix which comes with a new trailer. Info and video below.

Is an action-packed family based on the classic legend "Journey to the West" comedy that follows a charismatic Monkey and his magical fighting Stick on an epic quest for victory over 100 demons, an eccentric Dragon King, and Monkey's greatest foe of all - his own ego!

A film directed by Anthony Stacchi (The Boxtrolls, Open Season), produced by Peilin Chou (Over the Moon, Abominable) and with Hong Kong action film producer Master Stephen Chow (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer) as executive producer.

Made with CG animations by the Chinese Pearl Studio, Reel FX Creative Studios and Tangent Animation, the feature film will arrive on the streaming platform on August 18.
