Animusic Weekend: My Baby Just Cares For Me

Our weekend appointment that mixes music and animations Animusic today also makes us take a leap into the past to listen to My Baby Just Cares For Me by Nina Simone.

The song My Baby Just Cares For Me was written in the 1930s by Walter Donaldson (music) and Gus Kahn (lyrics) for the film based on the musical Whoopee!, but which became popular in the 1950s thanks to the reinterpretation of the great American artist Nina Simone.

The video clip of the song was only made in 1987 with stop-motion animations made by the Aardman Animation studios and directed by one of its founders, Peter Lord.
