Night at the Museum returns but in an animated version

The Disney studios are dusting off another of their (formerly Fox) franchises to produce a new chapter but entirely in animations, directed to their streaming platform. Below the first infos.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again is the title of the new animated feature film that is linked to the franchise started in 2006 with the homonymous live-action film including Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams and many others, followed by two sequels (2009 and 2014).

This new chapter was announced by the studios in 2019 and centers on Larry's (Ben Stiller) son Nick Daley, who will follow in his father's footsteps as the museum's security guard on the night shift. However, his new engagement is disturbed by the return of Kahmunrah, the antagonist of the second chapter of the franchise.

The first image takes us back to one of the moments of the first film, in which a young Nick meets the skeleton of the Tyrannosaurus with which he befriends.

There will be no return of the main actors, such as Stiller himself, replaced by Zachary Levi.

Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again is directed by Matt Danner and produced by Mikros Animation, and will be available from December 9th on the Disney+ platform.

Waiting for the trailer, here is the first image:
