First trailer for the new anime series Gundam The Witch From Mercury

Mobile Suit Gundam : The Witch From Mercury is the new series produced by Bandai Namco that brings a female protagonist. Below the new promo.

Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury is the first TV series dedicated to the Gundam franchise in seven years.

Director is Hiroshi Kobayashi, with Ichiro Okouchi (Code Geass co-author) author of the screenplay. The character design is by Mogumo, while the technical direction is entrusted to Yohei Miyahara. Artistic director is Ayumi Sato and author of the music is Takashi Ohmama.

The protagonist of the story is a young female pilot. The role of women - soldiers and civilians - has always been fundamental in the Gundam saga. In all Gundam sagas. And there has been no shortage of female Pilots placed in the foreground - like Crhistine in Gundam 0080 - but it is the first time, actually, that a female pilot has been placed at the center of a serial project. Her Mobile Suit is Gundam Aerial.
